: The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and Better Business Bureau system (BBB) today announced the creation of the Identity Theft Prevention and Identity Management Standards Panel, which is a partnership with a cross-sector team of companies to create a single resource of standards and guidelines that businesses and other organizations can use to prevent and respond to identity theft and fraud. AT&T is one of nine founding partners participating in the initiative. The panel includes such leading companies as ChoicePoint, Citi, Dell, Intersections, Microsoft, Staples, TransUnion and Visa USA.
