: BASF is raising its prices for its polyalcohols Neopentylglycol (NPG) and Trimethylolpropane (TMPhydro) in Europe by 190 Euro/mt, with immediate effect or as existing contracts permit. The adjustments are necessary to address the sharp increases in raw material costs as well as the high energy and logistics costs.
Polyalcohols are widely used in solvent free or high solid coatings, as well as in polyurethanes, alkyd resins and synthetic lubricants.
