: If you're hitting the road for Thanksgiving weekend, be prepared to pay more for gasoline.Prices have jumped 14 cents in the past week, with prices spiking above $2.70 per gallon in some places.
"That was the most I've spent to fill up my gas tank in a really long time," said motorist Lucia Buehler, who spent nearly $50 on fuel.A survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express puts the current statewide average for regular-grade gasoline at $2.60 per gallon, up from $2.48 last Monday.
"It's frustrating, (and) it's really hard for motorists to budget and visit family and friends when there's a jump in gas prices," said Elaine Zeinner. |
