: The national procurement partner for UK public services, Buying Solutions, has awarded Fujitsu a place on the framework agreement for all six Lots of the recent 'Software Application Solutions' (SAS) provision. The agreement will see Fujitsu as a key technology supplier for the public sector in a number of areas, including content management services, document and records management solutions and customer/citizen relationship management.
The award for the SAS framework agreement follows Fujitsu and Buying Solutions signing a three year framework agreement for the supply of ICT consultancy and delivery services in August 2009.
Eithne Wallis CB, managing director UK Government division, Fujitsu UK and Ireland says: "The award to Fujitsu of all six Lots of the SAS framework agreement is a fantastic follow-up to the initial agreement we signed back in August. The scope of opportunity open to us through this agreement is an exciting one where we know we can make a difference to the services offered across the public sector both in terms of performance and cost. Our suite of offerings ranges from our unique, and the first genuine cross-government shared service in Flex, through to our most recently announced cloud-based Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) offer. These are areas where we feel that the public sector can benefit from our 40+ year track record helping public services save money and operate more efficiently."
The Lots awarded to Fujitsu as part of the SAS framework are: - Lot 1: Bespoke applications - Lot 2: Customer/citizen relationship management and case management solutions - Lot 3: Document and records management solutions - Lot 4: HR, finance, procurement, transactions management and ERP solutions - Lot 5: Information management applications - Lot 6: Web design and content management services
As part of the framework Fujitsu will be offering a number of services ranging from solution identification and advice; design; integration; training; maintenance and support; managed services and outsourcing – or indeed any combination of all these elements.
