: Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited (RLL), announced today that the Company has received approval to manufacture and market RAN™-Cefprozil Tablets, 250mg and 500mg, and RAN™-Cefprozil Powder for Oral Suspension, 250mg/5mL from Health Canada. The total market size for Cefzil™* in Canada was CAD 28.2 million dollars (IMS-MAT: Dec 2006). Cefprozil Tablets and Powder for Oral Suspension are indicated for the treatment of upper respiratory tract infections, uncomplicated skin and urinary tract infections. “We are pleased to receive these approvals for RAN™-Cefprozil, Tablets and Powder for Oral Suspension to expand the number of product offerings that Ranbaxy commercializes for use by patients who require the therapeutic benefits of this product where indicated.
